Kleine AT
A one-day workshop series for early‑career algebraic topologists in NRW and neighboring regions.
Each edition focuses on a single topic with five talks across the day. Hosts rotate among NRW universities.
What is Kleine AT?
Kleine AT (Kleine Algebraische Topologie) is a new biannual workshop series designed for Master's and Ph.D. students in algebraic topology from universities across North Rhine-Westphalia and neighboring regions. This one-day intensive workshop focuses on a single, carefully chosen topic within algebraic topology, providing participants with an opportunity to deepen their understanding through a structured series of five one-hour talks given by fellow students. The format encourages active participation, community building, and knowledge sharing among early-career algebraic topologists, while rotating between participating universities to foster regional collaboration.
Inaugural theme
The inaugural event will explore “Spectral Sequences and the Even Filtration“, studying recent work by Antieau on spectral sequences and décalage, alongside applications to the even filtration developed by Hahn–Raksit–Wilson.

We will communicate speaker assignments as soon as possible after this date, though we may assign additional speakers after September 15th if needed. Travel reimbursement is available for participants who would travel more than 2.5 hours in each direction with regional trains, with September 22nd as the hard deadline for reimbursement applications. All participants must register for the workshop, and we encourage early registration to help with planning.
